Salamander Designs Audio-Visual Shelving SDAV5/7225/BO Editorial Review
The Salamander Designs AV Basics Cabinet receives high praise from customers. It is described as well made and sturdy, with great wire management and deep storage for larger receivers. The cabinet is highly recommended for its functionality and durability. Customers appreciate the neat and expensive look of the TV stand. It is able to accommodate a 65" TV and all necessary systems including cable, AV Receiver, DVR, and even a center speaker. The real wood Construction and print of the wood are also praised for their quality. It is noted that the glass doors do not interfere with signal reception for cables and AV Receiver. While the product itself is praised, there are issues with delivery. Customers mention that the stand is extremely heavy and it is necessary to have help when bringing it into the house. There are also reports of the item arriving damaged in shipping, but the seller is commended for being responsive and communicative in resolving the issue. One notable feature of the Salamander Designs AV Basics Cabinet is the added support posts on the bottom. These provide plenty of support, contrary to conflicting information on the Salamander website. Customers feel confident in using the cabinet to hold more than the stated weight limit of 80 lbs, as long as the supplemental supports are used. Overall, the Salamander Designs AV Basics Cabinet is praised for its functionality, durability, and attractive design. While there may be challenges with delivery, the product itself receives positive feedback from customers.
