Fiddes Hard Wax Oil Satin Clear is a high-quality product that is food safe when dry and is mainly used for interior furniture and flooring. The product dries to the touch in a few hours but needs at least 24 hours to be safe for traffic. It has received great reviews from customers who have used it on different types of wood with excellent results. The Fiddes Hard Wax Oil Satin Clear has proven to be more waterproof than Osmo Top Oil. It is straightforward to apply, but customers have reported varying instructions from different sources on how to apply it. Applying it like Osmo Top Oil is not recommended as it tends to become tacky for most customers, leading to a chunky mess. The product is long-lasting and very water-resistant. It has a satin finish that is very flat and doesn't require sanding between 1st and 2nd coat. The finish is so tough that water beads up on it and is easy to clean. A gallon goes further than anticipated, with one customer noting that they used only 4 cans to cover 1000 sq ft with some left over in the fourth and then 2 full cans. Overall, Fiddes Hard Wax Oil Satin Clear is an excellent product that is easy to apply and has fantastic results, making it a great choice for DIY projects.
