DSTE Battery Grips Editorial Review
Customer Reception and Experience of DSTE Replacement Vertical Battery Grip for Canon Cameras The DSTE Replacement for Pro BG-E14 Vertical Battery Grip for Canon cameras has received mixed reviews from customers. On one hand, users are pleased with its performance and compatibility with Canon 70D, 80D, and 90D cameras. Many appreciate the inclusion of the second drawer with AA penlight cell capability, which offers additional power options. The grip is noted for ease of installation and functionality with Canon batteries, accurately displaying remaining battery power and shutter releases on the camera. However, there are complaints about the battery insertion process, with some users having difficulties inserting the batteries into the grip and encountering issues with the battery holder. Some buyers reported missing batteries in their packages, leading to dissatisfaction and a need for returns. Additionally, a few customers raised concerns about the grippy material deteriorating over time, diminishing the overall quality. Despite these mixed receptions, the grip is commended for its ability to function similarly to the original Canon battery grip, offering significant cost savings with two included batteries, and users have reported its successful use with the Canon 90D for various photography needs.
