Answer: Yes, it can be used as a plain fan. I returned mine because I could not get the mist function to work.

The Relax centric HydroBreeze Standing Oscillating Misting Fan seems to be a well-made product that can be used as a humidifier as well. The fan has 3 different speeds and 3 water output levels, making it adjustable according to the user's needs. It is perfect for residential use and works great in a hot room or on a patio. However, some customers have experienced issues with the misting part, as it produces very faint mist that does very little to cool. Some users have also complained about the assembly process and the inadequate instructions provided by the company.
