Horror Editorial Review
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave is a classic horror film that is great for fans of the Dracula franchise and Christopher Lee. The film features Lee's Dracula with silent menace, and the valiant effort of those that seek to destroy him is worth a watch. However, the franchise begins to sour in this film and continuity gaffes from previous movies are present. Director Freddie Francis does an adequate job, but he lacks Terence Fisher's contrasts of measured pacing from scene to scene. The best thing about "Dracula Has Risen From The Grave" is Veronica Carlson in her Hammer debut, confirming her as the loveliest, most archetypal Hammer heroine of them all. The blu-ray edition looks great and is received in good condition and on time, but lacks special features other than the theatrical trailer. Overall, this film is a bloody fun classic horror movie.
