The large tanks hold an adequate amount of water to lessen the need for refills. Although the cleaner does not clean right up to the edges of the carpets, the attachment tool takes care of the edges nicely. However, it is a heavy machine and difficult to carry up the stairs. Nonetheless, it has been rated as the best carpet cleaning machine by a 50+ year old with slight back trouble. The machine can be used with generic substances or commercial concentrate cleaning products, and it does not fuzz up Berber carpets. Pre-treatment of very dirty areas with the solution before using the cleaning machine results in clean and dry carpets in a short period of time. The cleaner is easy to use and clean, and it cleans carpets like a professionally cleaned machine. Apart from the leaking flow meter, which is an occasional problem, it is an amazing product that gives value for money.
