The hook measures 1 3/8 inches on the inside, offering enough space to fit the neck of various instruments, excluding those that are too large. Additionally, it is adjustable so that the holder can pivot to accommodate the instrument and is perfect for a child's ukulele. Unfortunately, the back of the hanger is recessed, which makes it difficult to mount with Command strips. The screws included are two inches long, and the plate is approximately 1/4 inch thick, going about 1 & 3/4 inches into the wall when mounted with drywall toggles. The weight limit for these hangers is 14 lbs.
