Resolv SE5 2-Way Active Studio Reference Monitor
The Samson Resolv SE6 studio monitors have received positive feedback from customers in terms of sound quality, clarity and responsiveness to electronic music. Some customers have reported a slight hum or crackle from the speakers when connected to a power strip, but this issue can be easily avoided by connecting the power cord first and then turning the speakers on. The monitors are relatively high efficiency and have built-in amplification and crossovers that are perfectly matched to the speakers, resulting in good performance. The upper mid-range on the speakers is very smooth and adjustable, while the low frequencies are not adjustable. The monitors come with AV shielding, making them suitable to protect other electronics such as CRT monitors. Though they do not cover the lowest of the lows (requiring a separate subwoofer, there is an optional Resolv 120A active subwoofer available) they have a frequency range of 45 to 27 allowing good performance for mixing purposes. The Samson Resolv SE6 is a solid contender in the affordable studio monitor market providing great value for the money.
