The ladder is easy to operate, despite its narrow stairs. It is possible to add two extra steps, but the instructions recommend only one for safety purposes. The product comes in a grey, powder coated finish that matches the steps on the attic access ladder, despite appearing green in the picture. The maximum number of extra steps that can be installed is three, and for smaller openings, the framing may need to be adjusted.
