The brackets are of excellent build quality and are durable with no flex, and there is no play in the hinges. The support legs can be folded under the transceiver when not used or when packing and storing it in a backpack. It comes with four big rubber feet, which replace the marginal original pads, so you only need two, and you have two as spare, and there are five screws instead of the four needed, so in case you drop one on your carpet and can not find it. The front projections that protect the radio front panel have holes to accommodate a neck strap, which is important since the Pterosaur takes the place of the neck strap brackets on the sides of the radio. Overall, a great additional accessory for the Yaesu FT818 and 817.
