The Stainless Steel Center Finding Ruler is a sturdy and somewhat rigid piece with printed graduated markings that have not come off yet even after much use. It is wider than 1" and less than 2" in width. Although not stated whether it is made in the USA or not, it is a nice ruler regardless. This ruler is helpful in finding the point to mark a location's center point on wood and perfect for restoring the center line while sanding the hull of the ship. It is also flexible enough to place a digital angle finder on the ruler while the ruler is laying flat and then bring both items up vertically. It has no mixed metals, so a magnet will not stick to it. The edges of this ruler need deburring as at least one edge stratches the surface. The beginning of the ruler is about a quarter-inch from the end, and there is extra material on both ends. However, it is a good ruler for woodworking and, for the price, a no-brainer.
