The 18 AWG American Wire Gauge CCA Primary Wire is an excellent choice for those in need of wiring solutions. Customers have found it to be perfect for car audio radio, home theatre, 12V automotive, signal turn on, boat, low voltage LED light (6 to 80 volts), Lionel trains O27 scale models, LED light bars and adding C wire for Nest thermostats. It is silicone insulated, making it flexible and easy to use even in tight spaces. The price is also a great value, especially compared to buying from an auto store where you would pay twice as much for half as much wire. Customers raved about the quality of the wire insulation, particularly its ability to hold up to weather and environmental wear and tear. While the wire is labelled for indoor use, it can also be used for automobiles because it is not UV-protected, however, for outdoor applications, it would require protection or find UV-protected wire coating. It is not recommended for areas requiring 110/220 V AC wiring, and the insulation material is copper clad making it less desirable for those who work a lot with soldering.
