Answer: The base game and the 4 main white dice inside each box are the same with the exception of the color of the player boards. The difference is in the additional 4 expansion/variant dice. They have different colors, faces and rules when added to the base game. Rivers and lakes are in the blue version and lava and meteors are in the red one. -

How much does this game depend on luck vs strategy? Is this game similar to Ticket to Ride?
Answer: The game uses a dice mechanic to determine what track segments are available so there is quite a bit of luck involved. There a multiple ways to score your board but the game is about how to beat play what the dice have given you.My experience has been about 50-50 with people who like ticket to ride liking this game as well. The drawing aspect makes it feel quite different even with the similar theme.

While playing, it is simple to roll dice and draw road or rail segments to connect exits and create the longest line. But when it comes to scoring, counting and determining how to score each segment in a route becomes challenging. The rules are not clear enough, and it can be difficult to understand if road/rail connections count towards the length of the route or how to score connector segments. This complexity in scoring led to a disappointing first game experience for the reviewer's family and friends. The confusion resulted in a quiet and frustrated atmosphere during gameplay, as everyone struggled to figure out how to place segments and understand the scoring system. The reviewer had to score all five boards, but was unsure if they did it correctly. Despite the scoring issues, the reviewer appreciates the game's beautiful design, compact size, and high-quality materials. It is portable and can easily be taken on trips or stored in a backpack. The inclusion of dry-erase markers is also a plus, although an eraser would have been a nice addition.
