Ubiquiti UniFi G5 Dome Camera UVC-G5-Dome The Ubiquiti UniFi G5 Dome Camera UVC-G5-Dome offers a simple and efficient user experience with excellent overall product quality. The installation process is smooth, and the camera provides good quality images with clear and vibrant colors during the day. However, there are limitations to its functionality, particularly in low-light conditions. One major drawback of this camera is its proprietary compatibility with only Ubiquiti's own NVRs. This limitation proved problematic for a customer who purchased the camera for use at a data center and had to return it as a result. While the camera performs well in daylight, it falls short when it comes to night-time surveillance. The visibility at night is extremely limited, with a range of less than two meters. The issue appears to be related to problems with the infra-red capabilities when the outer dome is attached. Although removing the dome improves the camera's performance, it exposes the lens to dirt, dust, and rain. Despite reaching out to Ubiquiti's tech support for assistance, the customer was unable to find a solution and ultimately returned the product. It's worth noting that the Ubiquiti UniFi G4 Pro cameras work well in night-time conditions, making this particular issue with the UniFi G5 Dome Camera more disappointing. Overall, the Ubiquiti UniFi G5 Dome Camera UVC-G5-Dome provides an excellent user experience in terms of ease of use and general product quality.
