- The Sundown Audio Z v.6 series represents a massive leap forward in ultra-high excursion subwoofer technology, succeeding the legendary Z v.5 with significant upgrades to every critical component. At its core lies a massive quad-stacked 240mm motor structure paired with a hyper-extended pole piece, allowing for over four inches of peak-to-peak travel before mechanical bottom. This bottomless design is driven by a heavy-duty 3-inch 8-layer flat wire aluminum voice coil, the same high-performance coil found in the flagship Nightshade v.5 series, providing incredible motor force and power handling for the most demanding bass enthusiasts.Engineered specifically for the low-frequency and small ported box category, the Z v.6 utilizes a custom-tooled patented frame and an ultra-linear suspension system to deliver deep, distortion-free bass. Thermal management is handled by an innovative high-velocity pole vent and machined channels around the pole piece, ensuring the motor stays cool during extended high-output sessions. Whether installed in a standard ported enclosure or a complex 4th-order bandpass, this subwoofer sets a new standard for output and reliability in the high-end automotive audio market.
