Will a bolt cutter cut this lock off?
Answer: According to the application it is locked onto, it would be very difficult to get the jaws of the bolt croppers around the shackle. This would also depend on the size of the bolt croppers as they come in many different sizes. All security devices can be compromised with the right tools and the right amount of time to defeat the security. -

How to recode?
Answer: Put in the current code (default 0000), when the lock opens, don't change the number wheels (important). Unscrew the grub screw with a small straight blade, pull out the knob at the side, holding it out - don't release, change to desired code, release the knob, close the lock, pull the knob to unfasten again if it unlocks, replace the grub screw, code changed. Don't release the knob whilst changing the code... -

What is the diameter of the shackle?
Answer: As a good ball-park I would say 12-15mm - no more, no less. I'm sure, if you think it is still now necessary, you could get a more specific size from Squire online somewhere... -

What is the measurement of the inside of the hasp for this padlock, i.e will it take a 10 mm chain?
Answer: Gap between sides of the U-shape is 20 mm. Gap between base of U shape is 15 mm. Diameter of shaft is 10 mm. -
